Myles Karr

Myles Karr is a tattooer, fine artist, and illustrator, who quickly left the Long Island suburbs, to establish himself in the city of New York. Beginning his studies at the School of Visual Arts, Myles graduated from SUNY Purchase with a  Bachelors degree in fine arts and a strong desire to put a dent in this world. While lending his distinct style to countless album covers and the occasional magazine, Myles discovered the world of tattoos and didn’t hesitate to jump in with both feet. With the help of many trusting friends, Myles taught himself the delicate craft of permanent skin decoration, and applied his unique sensibilities to the tattoo world. When not transferring his inimitable vision of the world onto thousands of peoples skin,  he finds the time to contribute to art shows such as the Amphetamine Reptile 25th Anniversary show, the MOVE ballpoint pen show, and the Upstarts tattoo exhibition. His work embraces a combination of train of thought, dreamlike wonder, dark whimsy, and a refined sarcasm that is only heightened by his love of pop culture, comic books, and the long history of american tattooing. Myles travels constantly, bringing his recognizable tattoo style to cities such as London, Toronto, San,Francisco, and Chicago to name a few. In addition to all of this, Myles still finds the time between tattoos and drawing, to spend time with his beautiful wife and incredible dog, without whom, he would never be able to accomplish any of this.
